About Our Church

Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 74 Forest Avenue in Glen Cove, New York, has been a cornerstone of faith and community service for over a century. Founded around 1920, the congregation built its first church in 1925 and moved into its current building in 1965. For more than 100 years, Trinity has been guided by a simple mission: sharing the love of Christ by serving others.

Among its most enduring ministries is the Food Pantry, which provides free groceries to families in need every Wednesday evening, supported by a dedicated partnership with Northwell Health and Glen Cove Hospital. The adjacent Thrift Shop offers affordable clothing and household goods once a month.

Beyond the pantry, Trinity hosts a wide range of programs including Sunday School, multiple Bible study groups and community fellowship events like the annual church picnic. The congregation also raises funds and honors local leaders through its Annual Golf Tournament at Nassau Country Club, celebrating individuals who embody a spirit of service — from longtime church volunteers to healthcare workers.

Through its worship, outreach, and partnerships, Trinity Lutheran Church continues the work it began over a century ago: welcoming all and serving the Glen Cove community with faith, compassion, and an unfading spirit of hope.
